Endhiran is a upcoming Tamil science-fiction film being directed by S. Shankar. The film will star Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles. As of 2009, the film’s production and distribution rights were purchased by Sun Pictures, with Kalanidhi Maran and Hansraj Saxena, for their first time, as producers. At a cost of Rs. 165 crores, the film is expected to be made on the highest ever film budget in Indian cinema, surpassing that of the 2009 Bollywood film Blue.
